Kaplan House is a fantastic place for your loved one's final days. The staff is caring and the rooms are comfortable. My mother was there for 6 days and I stayed the entire time. Each room has a pullout bed or some other option for sleeping. It's like being in someone's home. I walked to get coffee/snacks in my pajamas and never felt out of place (I wasn't the only one). My aunt was here for a week. It's a sad thing but I can't think of a better place for her to stay at the end of her life. The staff was the caring, professional, sympathetic and thoughtful. My daughter fell asleep on a couch and 1 of the staff came by to put a blanket on her. There is nothing I can say to convey the gratitude I have for the people here.
There are not enough adjectives to describe this Hospice House. My Best Buddy was only there 3 short days but every minute she was there she couldn’t have received any better care. The compassion shows from the minute you walk thru the doors to the receptionist. They are so soft spoken and informative. They brought me to my Buddies room pointing out all amenities along the way.
