My mother spent her last days here. She was in constant pain and I even found letters that she wrote saying that she was in pain and was scared to tell anyone there. I also received numerous phone calls from the social worker and when I answered the phone she started asking me very personal questions about myself. My mother passed away two days after receiving those phone calls from the social worker and they were only calling me because they said they needed to move the body because they were not a morgue. there are no words that I can share strong enough other than if someone told you heaven was on earth. It would be this place for the care they took in my mom. Florence will never be forgotten. I love these people if you end up here at end of life or for whatever reason, you are truly blessed.
Kaplan House is a fantastic place for your loved one's final days. The staff is caring and the rooms are comfortable. My mother was there for 6 days and I stayed the entire time. Each room has a pullout bed or some other option for sleeping. It's like being in someone's home. I walked to get coffee/snacks in my pajamas and never felt out of place (I wasn't the only one).
