I am attempting to report this car wash for attempting to force me buy a ***** car wash. I own a ******** **** and wanted the ***** dollar Car. I respectfully asked for the ***** car wash. She walked around my car and told me that I needed the ***** dollar wash if not it still be a bit dirty. I said its fine, I just want the ***** dollar car wash. She kept insisting, I told her. Tried to wash my car. Asked for the Platinum Wash which is their lowest package. Employee told me that my tires were extra dirty so I will need to do the 2nd to the last package which is significantly more expensive. I said I was fine with my tires not receiving extra care and I'll do the Platinum Wash. She told me "No you cannot do that, ok, bye, please leave through the gate." I was denied service because I refused to take her upcharge...
I took my car in today and was appalled with the service. Or really the lack-thereof. They forced me to get the more expensive wash that I didnt want because of a few bird droppings on my hood. These would easily come off with the main car wash brushes. The woman at the kiosk refused to let me choose the standard wash even after I told her I didnt want it. Today 8/23/23 at around 10:30 a.m. I drove up to this car wash facility to have my car washed. On a weekly basis, I have the $20 ************* Today, I was told the wash is $27 due to the level of dust only on my trunk and it requires additional work to clean it.I do not see any notice or disclaimer explaining the up-charge, and never experience this at another car wash location. <p>Our car wash signage at the kiosk and on website kapiolanidrivethrucarwash.com states:</p><p>VERY DIRTY CARS WILL BE REJECTED OR ASSESSED ADDED FEETO PRE-WASH</p><p>The specific customer's vehicle was not only dusty but very dirty such that before sending the vehicle thru the automated car wash, workers would need to pre-wash the car with power spray, soap and brushes. The purpose of the pre-wash is to insure the car is clean at the end of the wash and also to prevent dirt build up on the automated car wash tunnel brushes... read more
