Our first time in Cincinnati and wanted some German food. We walked in and went to order our food and a clearly intoxicated woman came to take our order. She asked us a question about what we wanted and we didn't understand what she was saying and she got very rude with us. I go to order and her response was "Oh I was afraid you couldn't speak English". We ended up walking out without eating. It's a shame because this restaurant has such great reviews.
The best, most authentic German food I’ve had in the US! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. There were lots of board games available and our kids were offered free ice cream sandwiches after dinner. We ate inside, but look forward to enjoying the Biergarten when weather improves. This is truly a neighborhood gem that we’ll be frequenting often. It’s in a bit of an odd location, but super easy to access once you’ve been there once. Thank you for the gemütlichkeit!
This place is so great! Brought our four year old after a day at the museum, had beer and schnitzel, caprese salad, and apple strudel - they gave our son an ice cream cone! Only sorry we couldn’t stay for the live music they were setting up. 10/10 would recommend!
Pietr is a talented chef. His food is authentic German and unique. We really enjoy Donna and Chelsea (Chelsey). Donna is hilarious, fun, energetic, gorgeous and helpful. We fight people to sit at the bar to chat with Donna and Chelsey. They are so thoughtful and Chelsea worked with my food allergies. It's a great place. We love these people because they make us feel like family. The food is fresh and original.
