Not crowded, food good, great day. Went to MCC Sale, and Fair grounds always work great for it!
My review isn’t on the Kansas State fair experience, but rather on the horse arenas. The arena itself is fairly nice and it has a lot of space For the riders. There is plenty of stalls in the quality of them is ok; Some of them are kind of beat up, but besides that they’re not bad. There are places to wash your horse. There is also an adjacent arena that we used to practice and it was very nice and could hold cattle.
I have been to the state fair many times from my childhood into adulthood. Growing up near Hutchinson didn’t have too many perks, but being close to the fair was one of them. This place has it all during the fair. You can even buy a cow. Nowadays this fair is very overpriced just like everything else and when you get there everything there cost money too. It’s great once or twice a year, but any more than that it’s too expensive.
