This was the better care I could get in the area. After 2 other gynecologists that did not address my severe pain issue (in Lawrence and Topeka), a Resident named Jessica Patton gave me Transexamic. This severe pain felt was unbearable during my time of the month and I could not sit. This medicine helps to reduce bleeding and while it didn't work fast to obsolve the issue, after taking it for 6 months at a dosage that works for me (which is now less than perscribed) I'm finally doing better and the pain has subsided. The front desk receptionist was incredibly rude, incompetent, short with me, and dismissive. I followed their check-in instructions, printed off papers and filled them out ahead of time. I give them to the lady at the front desk and she sees a page on my folder that’s not filled out. I tried to explain to her that it was just an extra page from my printer that didn’t print all of the forms out at once and that the ones I was trying to give her were all filled out. I saw Dr. Maggie Smith for many years and she was a wonderful doctor. She truly cared about all of her patients and cared about making sure you felt comfortable and heard during each visit. She is retired but did amazing things helping women.

No one answers the phone or return your calls and when you arrive they are sitting around doing nothing. The check-in is quick, after you fill out a booklet of papers, just to have you wait almost 1 hr to see the Dr. That happened twice. My first visit the Dr didn't see me. Instead I saw a resident who asked me good questions and attended to my issues. He had to speak louder and louder over the playful sounds of the staff that seeped through the thin walls.
