I recommend being Kansas City Life Insurance Company's CEO. Only two more flights until KCLI hits the big 1,500 flights on their corporate jets -- from Hawaii, to Europe, the Caribbean, and most recently Walt Disney World! It is an exciting milestone for a sleepy little insurance company in the Midwest.

Do not ever buy universal life with cost of living increase from KC Life. They reset your surrender charges whenever an automatic cost of living increase occurs (you must explicitly decline the increase within 30 days) and the penalties do not go back to $0 for another decade. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to ever cancel your policy without penalties. I've never heard of any other insurance company doing this for an automatic account adjustment (only if the policy holder requests a change). It is in the contract but,... read more
