Do not ever buy universal life with cost of living increase from KC Life. They reset your surrender charges whenever an automatic cost of living increase occurs (you must explicitly decline the increase within 30 days) and the penalties do not go back to $0 for another decade. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to ever cancel your policy without penalties.
