It took over 4 weeks before my claim was approved while I was on maternity leave. I had to call atleast 4 times to get them to follow through with getting the approval. After I was told it was approved I set up direct deposit for my payment and was told it would be deposited in ***** hours. After waiting 3 days I called and asked where the payment was told to give it another day and it will be there. Received several threatening calls and texts from an employee named Jamil. He also contacted and threatened my family members. Called from his work phone. Very unprofessional.
Im an independent agent for Kansas City Life. I have found the company to be fair, honest, very reputable. They are highly rated at AM Best (insurance company watchdog/rater- AMBEST.com) If a customer has a problem with their policy (being sold something different than what they ere told they were getting, that would fall upon the agent selling the policy, not the company). If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT PURCHASE LIFE INSURANCE FROM KANSAS CITY LIFE INSURANCE. They are a dishonest company. They sold us one thing and we found out two years later that they lied and we did not get the policy we were told. STAY AWAY FROM KANSAS CITY LIFE INSURANCE!

I recommend being Kansas City Life Insurance Company's CEO. Only two more flights until KCLI hits the big 1,500 flights on their corporate jets -- from Hawaii, to Europe, the Caribbean, and most recently Walt Disney World! It is an exciting milestone for a sleepy little insurance company in the Midwest.
