This is the worst airport ever... And I travel a lot. I usually fly out of Manhattan and won't make the mistake not too again.
Not a lot going on in this airport which gives the TSA agents a great excuse to go on power trips for the tiny gates they manage.
If you're flying Delta on an early morning flight, get there *extra* early. The line for baggage drop was more than an hour. A bunch of us didn't make our flight and had to reschedule.
Get a healthy snack or sandwich/salad at Farmers Market - by Gate 38 - past security. Yes-INSIDE :-) And Starbucks is by Gate 41.
The blue bus drivers are grumpy so make sure to be extra nice to then.
This airport is horrible, but what choice have you got? No air problems = delays. Food courts run out of food. You have to go through security again if you land here. Extremely ghetto.
small dinky airport, TSA is harsh at this airport and last year they opened, handled and damaged my sporting shotgun and then denied it. Next time I go to KC I'm driving.
If you have the misfortune to fly American, avoid their ticket agent named Kim...older lady with glasses, very rude, uncooperative and will challenge you to call customer service...seriously!
Beware if you are connecting here. You will probably have to go through security again.
