I have been a patient with Kansas City Family Medical Care since 2018. Love all of the doctors and nurse practitioners. Got great care everytime. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes the week before they moved to the new building. Was given a sample of medication to use while they got insurance to approve the medication. My sample has run out and I cannot get in touch with anyone to get help with insurance approval of my medication so I am without. This new company is a disgrace. DO NOT GO HERE! It's nothing but a patient processing facility with numerous calls being transferred to the next person so it's their problem. It's like you're a cow a meat processing facility since they've changed to Ascentist. Find another PHC or you WILL regret it.
Dr Erickson and I have had a doctor patient relationship since 1989. He is an amazing doctor and I can’t imagine changing. However, the assent organization is one of the worst organized healthcare systems I have ever dealt with. I just tried to schedule my yearly exam and I had to go through an automated system and three people to be told that the call center doesn’t have access to my previous medical records to know when my last year‘s appointment was so she has to reach out to the nurse in the office to go through my file.... read more
