Enjoyed my first trip to Kanpai today. The sushi we ordered was very good. The miso soup was good. Steak and scallop dinner with fried rice and vegetables was pretty tasty so all in all I would recommend this place and will go back in the future...
Unfortunately just had to leave without being served. When we received our menus, our waitress asked if we would like a minute and we did need a minute to look over the menu. However, 10 minutes went by with just another couple sitting, also looking confused as to where our server was. I sat in plain sight into the kitchen and our server is playing with the cook and throwing napkins at each other and I made eye contact with him once and with our server four times and she continued to prance around and play with the cook. The Sushi is good, the rice is so so and they charged me for asking for more wasabi. The teeny dab I got was just not enough.
Tonight was our firstly visit to Kanpai. There were several vegan-friendly dishes to choose from and everything we got was delicious. Great service, too! Looking forward to going back soon.
