Dr Kaner has been amazing to me. I contracted Covid-19 end of March and have been dealing with long Covid for months now. Most of my symptoms are neurological. He has been very patient with me, compassionate and is trying everything to help me out. I would definitely recommend Dr Kaner.
I had a great experience at Dr. Kaner's office. He has great bedside manners and was on top of the situation. All Glory to God all is well and I won't have to see him for a while.
I have seen Dr. Kaner 3 times and each time he has allowed me the time to listen and understand my symptoms, offering me care I needed to help with daily headaches. He provided me with a solution that has not only given me relief but by listening, has helped me come off of medicines I did not need to be taking daily. I appreciate his ability to not just medicate, but to medicate in a caring manner, by listening. I would recommend Dr. Kaner to anyone who suffers from daily headaches/migraines.
Dr. Kaner recently treated my son's mouth tics. After seeing two other Neurologist it was wonderful to find a doctor who listened and treated the issue effectively. My son is no longer being picked on at school and now enjoys telling me about his day after he gets home. I highly recommend Dr. Kaner if you are looking for a wonderful Neurologist in the Clinton Twp area.
I got a referral from my primary for a Neurologist so I started calling around in northern Macomb County looking for one. I called them starting from the highest ratings of coarse. The first 5 or more I called all had 5 & 6 month waiting times for an appointment. In severe pain from multiple concussions and head injuries over the years, I did not want to wait that long. Dr. Kanor was one of the most receptive Doc's in the business. I had to get a second opinion. He is very knowledgeable and treated me with every effort to understand my condition. His staff was very nice as well.
Two years ago my husband became ill. Symptoms were similar to stroke and siezures we were sent to Dr. Jay Kaner. We have not regretted it once. In fall of 2016 we had a diagnosis of nuerosarcoidosis. At which point Dr. Kaner referred us to Henry Ford stating he didn't know much about this form of sarcoidsis. From that point on he earned my husband's respect and loyalty. As my husband said not many doctors admit they don't know something to a patient! Our opinion best nuerologist ever!!
Would not recommend this office; not a patient-centered care facility. I have been bringing my mom with progressive alzhiemers to Dr. Kaner for years. Requested a diagnosis letter to obtain much-needed services and office would not provide without scheduling an office visit because "they needed to assess her current condition". Oh Please! They should have been more than willing to help, but were obviously only concerned with unnecessarily billing for an office visit...will be finding new doc!
I have seen a lot of neurologists since being diagnosed with myastenia gravis and conversion disorder. This Doctor is not only extremely knowledgeable, but one of the kindest Doctors I know. He spent a long time with me, answering all my questions, and ordering all the right tests. My daughter also goes to him for epilepsy. We wouldnt go anywhere else! So thankful we found him!
