The Kane County health department came out to my school so that we could get a food handling permit. We are a non-profit school so they said my fee would only be $200-300 but were supposed to let me know. I left several messages and emails for Erin Rauscher, and never heard back. Then I got a bill in the mail saying I owe $1,000 with no explanation as to why.
