I found out that I had an "exceedingly rare" cancer in January of 2019. It was diagnosed as an epithelioid angiosarcoma of the adrenal gland. Dr. Sankhala took me under his wing and took on the beast. Forward six years, and I am still cancer free. I can't thank Dr. Sankhala enough.
As soon as my biopsy results came back my ortho oncologist set an appointment for me with Dr. Sankhala, even though I was working with another oncologist at the time, and thank god he did! I had a fast growing cancer and Dr. Sankhala got me set up with treatment within a week over a holiday weekend. He dealt with my lurching insurance company, he used his relationships to get me PET scan, a cardiogram, and a Port implanted all within a week.
