Dr Woods would most likely be a great surgeon. Before you go too far with his help make sure your insurance not only covers him but also covers his facility! My surgery had been scheduled and twice there were insurance issues; once wrong coding which was corrected then was told surgery was approved to only find out a day or two later my insurance would not cover his facility to have the surgery done.... I think we as patients are supposed to get all the info ourselves ahead of going to surgeons.....I have contacted my insura... read more
RecommendedHe really cares for his patients. I have seen him go the extra mile just to make sure that his patients are cared for and that the family has any knowledge that they need to assist with their family member with recovery.

Again I will say I’m still suffering from my back and neck surgery, same day may I add. That’s your Kamal woods, I told Kettering he should never be a doc I guess they learned a lesson. I had surgery 2017.

I suffered from nerve pain down my right side for a couple years. Dr Woods was recommended and found to be very knowledgeable and determined to help me. I had L5 S1 fusion and 3 months later I’m pain free. His office staff was very responsive and friendly.
I want to say Dr. Woods is definitely worth the wait. His staff was very friendly as well. I was nervous about my appointment, I was very concerned that I may of had another herniated disk in my neck. My previous Neurosurgeon had retired. Dr Woods put my mind at ease, he showed me the MRI imaging and we compared it to the previous image. He was very professional and seemed very caring. I would highly recommend Dr Woods and would 100 percent want him to preform my surgery.
I had been dealing with severe back pain for almost a year, tried PT for months and different epidural treatments but neither of these helped. My orthopedic said I could do pain meds for life or surgery. At the time I didn’t want to do either of these options but eventually knew I needed to do something.
