Costly Lesson – Moving out was AWFUL. I only got back 1/3 of my deposit. I was charged for cleaning (after I spent 2 days following their LONG cleaning list), mowing the lawn (after it was just mown) and cleaning the fireplace (even though I didn't use it). I have never been charged cleaning fees in any rental I've been in. I was also held responsible to professionally clean the carpets (I couldn't rent a steamer and do it myself) and de-flea the house.
