Kaleida still has the best blood draw center in Western New York. The blood draw center was great when it was in Millard Fillmore Hospital, and the move to Young's Rd has not changed anything. If you hate giving blood as much as I do, you will appreciate the clean, efficient process that Kaleida offers. Best of all, their techs are well seasoned. Technician damaged the vein during the procedure. Requested a butterfly when doing the venipuncture, however this was not done and instead she caused considerable discomfort and bruising afterward.
I went to the Kaleida blood draw clinic on 1150 Youngs and was serviced by Skylar. She was absolutely fantastic! As a person who is a difficult stick, she was a pro and got me on first try. She was pleasant and efficient. I was in and out quickly.
went yesterday morning (10/7) for preadmission blood work and wish I was sent elsewhere. The phlebotomist got into vein right away (just tip of needle went in) but was busy holding onto the flexible tube and drawing blood then she was on the needle. needle was barely in the skin and was constantly moving side to side, the vein ended up blowing.
