The facility never called prior to my scheduled surgery to discuss payment. When I walked in they handed me a bill for $3200 for a 15 minute procedure. I confirmed with insurance the surgery cost is $500. This center tried to charge me a $2700 facility fee, curiously the exact amount remaining on my deductible.

I felt extremely uncomfortable not even having the option to be seen by a male for urological procedures that involved a young woman holding my private area for 10-15 minutes while the UroJet/Lidocaine gel does its thing. While another one watched. That would not fly for an OB/GYN. She dragged in a nurse who just stood in the room and stared - without asking - and just assumed it was fine with me, which it very much was not. The tech that helped with my cysto was great, but I felt pretty disrespected not even having the option to be seen by a male for urological procedures. That would not fly for an OB/GYN. She dragged in a chaperone without asking and just assumed it was fine with me. Update - Received a $1,700 bill for a procedure which took 15 minutes and 1 syringe full of 4% lidocaine gel. On top of the $400 bill from the doctor's office.
