You should be ashamed of yourselves! Not only did you put that little girl through embarrassment and utter disappointment, but you have made countless fatherless girls and women feel the pain of being just that, fatherless. I'm 37 and I'm sitting here weeping for that little girl and remembering how awful it felt when I had no one to take me to Father- Daughter dances when I was a kid. Should be ashamed of yourselves !! Hope your organization fades away and allows someone who understand the roles one parent -man or woman can play. Take a look in the mirror and be ashamed. I really think you should disband at this point since you are doing more damage than good. It sounds like your organization is being led by a group of despicable individuals who exhibit zero common sense or empathy.
Daddy Daughter dance pretty much says it,been that way for years. Bonding time that is far different from the bonding between a mother and daughter. What the fathers show their daughters at this event starts at home, with father's, brothers, cousins, uncles, positive male role models. The same role models that are there for single mothers with sons. Hats off to this wonderful organization
What a beautiful way to bring the girls of the community together with their daddies or other significant males in their lives! I think it's beautiful!
