I wanted to do a shout out to Dr. Donion and her staff at Kaiser Permanente Tacoma Medical Center. The Staff was very nice and helpful. Dr. Donion is my Orthoedic Sugeon. I've had a hip replaced before by another hospital, so I have something to compare to. Now it's time to have another replacement, but due to some curve balls that life has thrown my way....I needed to explain everythng so I would know the best course of action to take. Drove from Silverdale to Tacoma for a 730AM appointment. Preregistered at the kiosk. PAID $30.00 Copay. Medical assistant came out to lobby to inform me that the doctor called out sick. Is there no back up? No resolution? Just "sorry about that" If I had canceled in that short notice manner, I would have most certainly been billed for the office visit. So can I bill Kaiser the $500.00 per day I make at work and missing work without pay? Or the toll bridge fee? Or the 45 minute drive each way? My guess is, no. It seems its ok... read more

I had a persistent cough going on week three-Went to Urgent Care at MLK. They took good care of me, cleared up any questions I had and prescribed me meds to help me feel better. I didn't have to wait as long as an ER either--thank God. The staff was wonderful!
