The nurses at the ER and physicians are some of the most compassionate people I have met. I was seen All of them made sure to allow my husband in the room for a procedure that I was terrified of, but needed to get better. The anesthesiologist who had to do the spine procedure was very calm, made sure he knew what i needed to stay calm and what to do if I was not able to stay calm. I cannot say enough about the staff.
We were in and out in 35 minutes door to door. The nurses and doctors were caring, professional and efficient. I was very happy with my care.
I had a positive experience considering it was a horrible night. But any night you have to go to the ER is probably a horrible night. I was surprised by how many people helped me from one point to the other, probably about a dozen people throughout the night of the 5 hours of ER hell. The situation was hell, but the ER people staff were good, organized, and worked in unison well. I can't even begin to express my anger with the absolute NEGLECT my mother received at this facility. She was left alone, in pain, starving, and thirsty for HOURS, even being denied water when she finally got someone to come to her aid, because they didn't want to have to help her to the bathroom before discharge. Despicable.
I think it's hit or miss, because I've been in ER rooms before that have you wait 3 hrs or more, but not this one, yet? My experience, three times, is that I've been seen in a timely manner from when I came in and they even made spaces for me to be kept and treated if the beds were full. Then while waiting to be admitted to the hospital they updated me on the room status a good amount of times.
