Absolutely unacceptable care. I’ve had lower side/back pain for over a year, and now for the past month I’ve had severe pain and numbness around my shoulder blade. My doctor ordered a URINALYSIS that’s it.I requested an in-person appointment, paid a $15 copay, and was basically dismissed within 30 seconds and told nothing was wrong. No imaging, no additional testing, no answers.I am in PAIN and experiencing NUMBNESS. How many times do I have to ask for help before my symptoms are actually investigated? This is Kaiser so you must complement their procedural regimen. Having so stated, their ER is fantastic and using triage they are efficient and accurate. All personnel levels take input from immediate family to establish best patient baseline. Doctors and nurses will answer a question to the best of their ability. NOTE: Kaiser is a large organization so do not be a dumb ass and follow any diagnosis blindly leaving your brain at the door. My experiences at Kaiser Antioch Emergency Room have been absolutely unacceptable. I have been here twice, and both visits left me seriously concerned about the way patients are treated at this facility. During my first visit, staff members were rude, disrespectful, and showed a complete lack of professionalism. My second visit was far more concerning.
