Sad Heart I am very concerned about the level of care my mother is receiving at Kaiser in California. She is diabetic and is receiving the bare minimum of care. I know health cost are in flux, but not hers since she pays monthly for her insurance and pays her copay each visit. It is not fair that paying patient suffer like this. If I were in California and not out of state I would be there advocating for my mother since no one else is, not even the patient advocate. This really saddens my heart!
Excellent preventative medicine The Oakland facility is old and there are so many buildings it is difficult to find the right place but.... I had excellent physicians. My primary physician was in Richmond and my Dermatologist was in Oakland. They never hesitated to send me to the specialist I needed. I felt the physicians I saw truly cared about me. They ordered every test needed. I received quality care that made poor parking and hunting for the right building worth while.
sucks I went to the emergency. I asked how long would I wait ? they said I was the next. They made me wait 3 hours. there was a patient next to me. his baby was sick. they were waiting for 4 hours. he said kaiser in Oakland is shittest hospital in bay area. then , they left for another hospital
Terrible My god daughter was born here. After sending us home so many times because they hard no rooms. When we finally got into a room, the nurse didnt want to give an epidural or any pain medicine. I had to get a doctor to get this done. It was totally diferent then my experince at another hospital. I felt that they were overloaded, so no one got anything more then the bare minimums.
Not Sure What To Say This Kaiser hospital is a little rough around the edges. The buillding's condition could be more polished, but the doctors are okay. For many members, it is only $5 to see a doctor. Once when I requested some standard routine blood tests, they looked at me like I might have leprosy. Maybe this is how they keep healthcare costs down. I think though for routine healthcare, it's really perfectly fine. I like to think that if I was in any way actually unhealthy, I would receive a bettter level of service.
