I’ve been a Kaiser member for 20 years. I switched once when I had a new job but came back as soon as I could. Yeah, you might get a different doctor if you come in for an unexpected illness or condition, but I have had the same primary care doctor for years and she’s great. The lab, X-ray, ultrasounds, pharmacy are super accessible and convenient. I don’t have to go somewhere like Walgreens to get my prescriptions. My kids could easily get their vaccinations and I could always get an appointment when they were sick. They us... read more

Avoid if you like seeing the same doctor twice in a row. Avoid if you ever want to call a doctor’s office and ask a simple question. Avoid if you don’t want to get lost in a maze of a hospital with little/no direction. It’s almost as if it’s designed to make service hard. I get appointment confirmation emails, check in early online, avoid talking to any human (which seems to be the goal) then get to the 3 waiting rooms. There is a sign with a list of doctor’s names for each waiting room. Check my emails, all my check in info... read more

I am extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism at Kaiser Permanente Capitol Hill. Having an appointment canceled the same day—with no real explanation and no alternative offered same day—is not just inconvenient, it’s completely inconsiderate. Many of us are moving things around at work, rearranging meetings, or taking time off entirely to be at these appointments.
