Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health is astoundingly horrible and negligent. They place patients at great risk with their inadequacy and lack of training / care.
Clinicians are ok at this site, not as good as San Francisco. But the same issues with Kaiser remains: they do not provide the standard of care. I would say it is even unethical what they do. Clinicians cannot see you weekly, which is recommended when someone is having a crisis or increased distress. They push you out to groups and will make referalls to nonprofit psychotherapy agencies when they think you could benefit from weekly therapy. When I was admitted here I was scared and resentful at first, but I was immediately welcomed by warm staff and all the nurses, therapists, doctors continued to make me feel at home like they are my neighbors. This allowed me to have more effective treatment. Dr. Anna Shvartsur is an incredible doctor. she was always calm and listened to my struggles with compassion. She gave me the right medication and dosage and really took time to make sure I was safe and ready to leave the facility. It is hard not be able to go home but y... read more
