When I was admitted here I was scared and resentful at first, but I was immediately welcomed by warm staff and all the nurses, therapists, doctors continued to make me feel at home like they are my neighbors. This allowed me to have more effective treatment. Dr. Anna Shvartsur is an incredible doctor. she was always calm and listened to my struggles with compassion. Manipulated me. Misdiagnosed me and told the doctors I had BPD when I have NEVER been diagnosed with that in my life. I had just turned 18 at the time so I think they thought I was stupid. When I refused the medication that THEY wanted to put me on they said “oh it’s only one pill.” Then when I went to the doctor and he told me to take the medicine and say “just say you feel really calm” and I would be out. I just left the facility today, the staff was incredibly kind and supportive. They cared for every aspect of my care from meds to urgent appointments. They were always understanding, available and patient. Food was decent. Met some very kind, sensitive people at the facility both staff and peers. At times there were some difficult patients in the facility, they were treated with the utmost respect and decency by staff.
