I'm not sure if it's possible to give zero stars, but I'd like to and I wish I read these reviews more closely before I went. My 15 year old has been struggling for close to a year. He went from socially adjusted, solid student, no challenges to having a ton of medical symptoms and unable to go to school. While we know he has anxiety at this point given the situation, our parent's gut (and bloodwork to support) tells us there is something medical at play. I've been told by several doctors to see a rheumatologist and had hear... read more

I was admitted into NYU Lagone Hassenfield Children’s Hospital inpatient from May 29th, 2020 to July 28th, 2020. Dr.Kahn was my rheumatologist and he would come in often to check up on me, despite being busy during covid times! As a prior PATIENT, I really think he is a great doctor who takes his time to check up on patients and really listens to what we have to say about our symptoms/pains and tries to give the best solutions asap. I went to nyu to meet with this Dr for my daughter who is having a long history of autoimmune issues im having difficulty pinpointing. I presented my entire case with paperwork and he was like no , no , no and nothing else to add, not a no its not rheumatology but it might be - he told me to go see my pediatrician ... i went to gastro who looked at my records and said ONCE AGAIN i need rheumatology ! so i was highly disappointed and will follow up with rheumatology at HSS in the city. The lack of caring was astonishing

Dr. Philip Khan has made my 8 year old daughter cry during her examination. Philip Khan told my child that her pain is fake and that she is faking. Dr. Khan told her that she is depressed and that she has a psychological problem that she needs to discussed with her doctor. Dr. Khan said that my child needs to stop faking her pain and go to school. Dr. Khan said that he has 22 years experience with kids and that he knows that my child is faking her pain for the past 5 years. m that needs to be discussed withher doctor. . D
