Had a system installed in 2020 to replace a old unit (2.5 ton). Installation was ok, but the unit did not cool correctly for the past 6 years. Called them to come out about 2 different times within that time frame about the issue, and got sent the same guy that told me it was working properly (which I questioned). Their diagnosis consisted of looking at the drain and said water was coming out & checking air deltas, not putting a gauge set on to check the refrigerant pressures, superheat & subcooling. Richard, Nathan & Jamie installed our new Ruud HVAC system and it was done very well, done the same day and done right. Great guys, excellent HVAC techs and no mess left behind. New system is quiet, more efficient and not overly complicated. Highly recommend Kahl for your HVAC needs.
I had a technician come out and was quoted several thousand dollars for the repairs. I know HVAC can be expensive... and I would hate to think that they were trying to take advantage of their customers, but, now I’m not sure. After receiving such a high quote, we needed time to process and think about the repairs or if we wanted a new system due to all the maintenance needed. Sometimes in life, especially in home ownership, you get news that just is hard to digest. Our upstairs unit finally gave up the ghost early in 2026 (better than mid-summer). KAHL was responsive going over all options but a new unit was needed (original manu 2005 with no problems throughout life until now).
