Located along Alii Drive in Kona, this beach is one of the more popular in Kona. Although this county beach is far from grand in size, it offers wonderful snorkeling and swimming along with a host of amenities for the beach goer. Along with the spectacular gray sand and small shoreline, there are picnic tables, restrooms, showers and lifeguards. The beach is always quite busy and the small parking lot fills up quickly and early. Tourists from nearby timeshares and hotels gather for snorkeling, while surfers are visible and a... read more

It's in the heart of Kona's tourism zone, but actually is worth visiting. Paid parking, bathrooms, showers, docents on site Nice beach, beautiful snorkeling, with lots of fish, coral and turtles. Relaxing place to spend time.
The snorkeling is good here! Sea turtles and more… I also love the fact that there’s benches here to sit and chill in the shade. That’s so convenient, as well as bathrooms and showers to rinse off. Very convenient, and also an easy snorkeling place for beginners, although it’s just a little difficult to get in and out of the water unless you find a right path. Because the reef/stone is literally right there, at least if you go at high tide. I’m sure it’s easier at low tide.
Toller Platz zum Schnorcheln, weniger zum schwimmen , felsiger Einstieg , Parkplatz und Toiletten vorhanden
Is one of the easiest and most accessible snorkeling beaches for beginners. The corals are mostly dead but the fish are still around; maybe not as many and varied as in years past. Parking was free but now there is a $12 charge for 4 hours. Outside parking or street parking is free. It can get crowded if you come in after 11 am. There is a beginner’s wave break for surfers. A snorkel and surf board rental shop is across the street.
Toller Strand zum Schnorcheln. Kein Sandstrand. Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Bezahlen per App, aber kein Problem. Es wird schnell voll, früh da sein.
