great deal for sushi this place was fast and tasted great. they have a deal whre sushi is half off at lunch if your order two off a select menu. it was about $3 each. its a great spot for lunch.
sushi lunch - half price is nice Kabuki on Colorado serves really good sushi - the best thing about this place is the half price lunch menu. If you come before 12 noon or after 1pm that's best - they tend to be a bit crowded at the noon lunch hour and service can be slow... but before or after and you get good sushi at a great price right on the strip on Colorado. PROS: half price lunch, good food CONS: crowded at noon which results in slow service
Excellent Food The other reviewers here have talked about the sushi. I had a chance to eat some of their other entrees on their menu. One in particular stands out as excellent. It is their Miso Black Cod... YUM! It is a grilled black cod fillet in a sweet miso sauce that is a killer! Accompanying the cod on the plate is roasted sweet corn and baby asparagus. A great dish! Im trying sushi I have had bites of Sushi before but this was my first shot at it. If you go there for lunch and order two things then they are half off. It was a pretty good deal for a lot of food. The Califonia rolls were good. I am easing my way into fish but i think it looks like sushi. The service was really fast we were out of there in less then thirty minutes wow!
Enjoyed the ahi poke appetizer as well as the garlic edamame. 3 delicious specialty rolls later and our meal was complete. Good service and high quality fish made for a memorable dinner. Will be returning soon.
Stop... Go somewhere else – I had lunch last Thursday and what a gross experience. I got sushi lunch with salad. When the sushi arrived I noticed on piece of ahi looked different and stupid me I bit into it. Smell, old and made me ill. I told the waitress and she gave it to the manager and I can see him laughing and joking with the sushi staff. He brought the new piece over didn't say a word to me a ran away. I LOVE SUSHI – I LOVE THIS PLACE!!
This place literally made me sick for an entire week – I have been to Kabuki about a dozen times on some of my many visits to Pasadena and I used to actually really like their food. Its not the best sushi (best sushi is at Sushigo55) but I liked Kabuki enough to keep going back, until that one last time ... Where's the server? – I didn't even get a chance to try the food here. The service was so poor my party left before we even got water. We went today for my birthday. It was about 5 on a saturday but they were surprisingly not busy. We were seated and given menus immediately.
