Today at the Kaady car wash, the guy told me that, "We recommend removing your trailer hitch before going through the car wash." Since it's a dirty, 10-minute job that requires a 7/8ths end-wrench I didn't have with me, I declined. He said, "That's ok. We'll just retract the equipment." "What equipment?" I asked. "The brushes that clean the back of your car. Your car won't get quite as clean but it'll be alright." I told him if he couldn't get my car clean, I didn't want to pay for his service.
