Overpriced and mediocre food. One morning we were told we couldn’t sit in a booth in the restaurant because there were only 2 servers and the server up next was in the front section (it was raining) under umbrellas. My follow-up request was denied. We left. I’d rather not have food credit to burn here and eat somewhere else with better food (and pay for it).
Hectic day at the pool next to the restaurant made for a louder than normal dining experience. Otherwise the food was uh-mazing. We had a perfectly cooked ribeye, crispy pork bellies, and spicy shrimp dumplings. Even the Brussels sprouts were delicious. Bonus that they had a good mix of choices on the kids menu too.
I really appreciate this place; we stayed at the hotel for two weeks, and we ate 80% of our meals here. The service was amazingly warm, professional, and friendly, and the dishes were tasty and generous. I highly recommend it; it made life easy that we could enjoy our hotel restaurant. so thank you very much.
It’s very cool to be right by the pool and the ocean. Fresh, good tasting food. Nothing against any of the staff, everyone was friendly and smiling. I think there just aren’t enough on staff. I saw food/drinks constantly delivered to the wrong tables. Servers were always rushing around. Coffee ran out multiple times along with the acrutrements.
Kayne was a wonderful, amazing, and funny waiter! The food was wonderful, and the house pickles with kimchi were to die for. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed the comfortable seats. We ordered the margherita pizza with added Portuguese sausage as well as the Mushroom Swiss Burger was heaven with every bite. Lastly, the mango guava cheesecake while not on the menu was an amazing recommendation for a wonderful treat to finish out our visit to Hilo. Overall, would certainly recommend for a date night.
