My dog, Winston, is reactive. I spoke with Shannon at length about this and explained that working on that was my number one goal for him while he participated in the one week board and train. While I wasn’t expecting a miracle, I did at least expect some small behavioral changes as a foundation I could continue working on with Winston. I can’t say enough about K9 University and Shannon. We had adopted a rescue dog that was a Pyrenees mix and about a year old. After he became comfortable with us, a few behavior issues came up and I feared that he would bite my son or other children. As a last resort to try to avoid having to return him to the shelter, the staff encouraged me to bring him in for a consult. Our pupper went to K9 University for a week of boarding and training. She is a rescue and has been very timid but is a very good girl. We were going out of town, so we decided to have her get some basic training while getting used to being in a boarding situation. Her trainer, Taylor, along with all the other girls, were fantastic with Avery. She was scared at first but really opened up and learned a lot. Make sure you keep up the work at home! Shannon did so good teaching the basic obedience class, I couldn't recommend K9 university more! It's easily apparent how much they love dogs and care about their well being here, and I can't wait to put my pup through the intermediate class!
We just finished puppy class I would highly recommend to anyone. My fur baby learned so much, and he absolutely adored Shannon from the minute he met her - despite his fear of new people. Excited to begin next level class and have a well behaved baby.
