This is such a special place. My family and I are so greatful to all the Nurses, doctors, staff and volunteers for the care my father received in such a difficult moment..They where also very caring for my mother that spent most days with him...Thank you and God bless you..

My mom passed away Sept 14th 2016 last year at Adventist Courtland Care Center in Orlando. Hospice nurses Angela and Debra told me truth mom wasn't ok. I got sympathy card from Hospice and since last year I come to Altamonte once a month to see Flavia grief counselor. Occasionally I see Ray but yes both my mom and grandmom are deceased. Mom passed last year and grandmom 6 yrs ago. Holidays around the corner as well as birthdays. Mines next month and mom's was in January both around the corner.
Very unorganized. Made several calls just to get someone out to the nursing home to meet my dad. That took two days. Only visited three times in nine days. My dad died alone. Devastating.
My mom spent her final days here in July. She had suffered tremendously before we brought her to Hospice of the Comforter. Everyone who worked with her here was wonderful. The nurses and doctors were very caring and made sure my mom was comfortable - they even made sure my siblings, father and I were comfortable with plenty of sheets, toiletries, etc. as we would stay overnight. I am devastated my mom is gone, but I'm grateful to say she passed in peace, and she even smiled right before she passed. I've been taking advantage... read more
