I visited for an annual preventive checkup and had no issues with the lab charges. However, I was surprised to receive a office visit charge. If discussing additional concerns during an annual visit results in a separate office visit billing, patients should be informed upfront. Transparency in billing would help patients avoid unexpected charges and make informed decisions about their care.
