Contracted with JWS Custom for a second project. Work included the tear down of an old summer kitchen and replacing it with an 18 x 18 ft single story addition with basement. Same attention to detail and quality construction. Love the windows. Recessed ceiling lights were a great idea. The granite steps, taken from the old foundation - icing on the cake! A dream come true. Thank you to the whole JWS Team.

We have now had JWS Custom do 2 separate projects for us. They just finished a beautiful deck for us and had built a garage for us a couple years ago. We love both. Great quality work, great guys. Highly recommend them. **** and ***** **

In 2018 we contracted with James S****** to install a detached 2 stall garage. After several weeks of delays James actually started the project. Work progressed slowly due to late arrivals and 3 day work weeks. His excuses ranged from needing new tires (on his brand new truck)...he used this one twice, to once when he was late for a site meeting, he told me he had "passed out at his drinking table" the night before and could wake up on time. The delay in construction was due to saturated soil that had to be drained and then all the saturated soil had to be removed, which was an extra in the contract. Extra fill to replace the saturated soil had to be brought in, also an extra. The client refused to pay for the extra work and materials, even though a reduced bill was offered. The payments that were received were for work already performed. If the client had paid the fair cost of the extra work, the contract would have been completed, but the client breached the c... read more
JWS recently completed a beautiful attached two-car garage for us. James, his son, and his crew were knowledgeable and quick with their work. It was a pleasure to speak with them, throughout the process. We've had compliments, on the quality of the build, from everyone who has seen the finished product. Contracted with JWS Custom Decks as part of an old farmhouse restoration project. Work included the tear down of an old single car garage, site preparation, and construction of a 24X24 garage and attached breezeway with living space. The breezeway had to tie-in with the original farmhouse 'post and beam' construction. Project included multiple elevations.
