Less than 3 tons? Not sure about the business, they seem ubiquitous so that may say something, but I do see them driving their large trucks along Forest Street which is clearly marked against such heavy traffic. If they take illegal shortcuts to save themselves the three minutes to go the legal way.....does that lead one to make other conclusions?
Very Happy JVIII construction did our driveway and that of my father and mother in law. They dug out our old driveways and replaced them with new ones. We were struck by how neatly they worked no big mess in the yard and what a timely job they did. Not a puddle to be found in either driveway. I'd highly recommend.
Joe M correct John V, Joe M is correct, they do not have the right to perform all these activities in this lot because they have been doing it since 1960. Plus it is not a construction site, it's a parking and maintenance lot. That does not include grinding rock, which I listened to for the better part of a Saturday because I live in that area, also. Trucks Pretty funny where I read that JVIII has plowed a few people out from the snow, so I guess that gives them free reign to do whatever they want over there. The entire Forest Street neighborhood is opposed to them dirving their trucks up and down the street. There is Old Forge Road available for them that all the other trucks use , why can't JVIII do the same? Because they feel they have some grandfather clause, that's more important than all these residents and especially children on the street? And stop with the sland... read more
Just the Facts John V, FACT - JVIII operates payloaders, excavators, and rock grinders 20-30 feet from small children. Where is the fence or barrier of pine trees like those that line Dividend and Forest? FACT - JVIII has dug so close to my property line that it's like a cliff that is UNSFAFE for my children to go near the edge of their own property. FACT - I have called JVIII's main number on a few occasions but have never been replied to, I voiced my concerns about the stabbility of the land bordering my driveway. FACT - T... read more
Speak the Truth! John A. That property is a contractors yard. It was a contractors yard when it was owned by the previous construction company and was grandfathered over when the property changed hands. Too many people like to slander, speak untruths, and preach for what they think to be correct but don't have all the facts. There is nothing illegal going on there. Just the Facts John Q. -- the only conclusion it makes one believe is that you are apparently unaware that JV III Construction is a property owner on Forest St. with a driveway entrance on the street and is therefore not taking any illegal shortcuts and exempt from the No Thru Trucks when they are leaving or coming to that entrance.
