So recommendation from a co-worker she told me about Jose Acosta. First day he show up fix my electrical problem no problem. Theplumbing done. Now took my sink some wall out and my mirror down. Told me he would be back to fix it. Kept coming back smoothing out the plaster. Show up a week later suppose to put my sink and mirror back up. Altogether with parts and labor I paid $600 dollars. There's a reason you're reading this review. If don't want to get screwed over like I did, avoid Jose Acosta and Just Screw It Handyman Services. Jose Acosta was hired by another contractor of mine when he was stopped for working without a permit. He was supposed to take over the job and get the permits through with the village of Oak Park. He pretty much abandoned the unfinished project right after receiving payment. Unresponsive for months at a time by email, phone and text. Completely worthless. Scam artist, thief, incompetent….hired for a fireplace remodel, did 10% of work disappeared With over $5k. Buyer Beware! New contractor showed us work is substandard and needs to be removed…we’d have been better off if he just stole the money. Stay far away!!!! Don’t say you weren’t warned….

I was really nervous I that I chose such a bold statement color, but with Jose’s knowledge and expertise, his input and advice put me at ease and he truly delivered! It’s better than I imagined and he made the whole experience very comfortable. Thanks for taking the time to explain all the nuances and maintaining clear communication - you’ve earned my trust and I’ll definitely use this company again.

Just Screw It Handyman Services is highly recommended for all your repair or remodeling work. They did all the remodeling work to make the vision I had for my business, The Joy Room Chicago, come to life. I’m so grateful for their honesty, workmanship, integrity, and fair prices. They take the time to really explain what’s needed in simple terms, and no job was too small for what they could help with. They provide a lot of value for their clients.
