We contracted with Just Like Family when my wife and I became unable to look after ourselves independently. We met with Karen before signing on the dotted line, and we were impressed that, unlike another company, no pressure tactics were employed. My family has been using Just like Family to care for our Dad since 2024. We have had many different caregivers throughout that time which have all been great, but we wanted to give an extra special mention about our most recent caregiver, Deena. She goes above and beyond for us and our Dad. She is a great communicator, pays great attention to detail, and even suggests things we may not have thought of to help our Dads care. We have been using Just like Family for my father living at home with FTD and Alzheimer’s for about 10 months now. My father is a lovely man and is very unique, so it was a challenge initially to find the right match but the team at JLF has done very well working with the caregivers to accommodate our needs. Lori is very reliable and goes above and beyond. His caregivers add companionship and bring a strong sense of routine to his day.

Raya is a wonderful caregiver for my aunt. She is knowledgeable and conscientious. She tries different activities to engage my aunt who has dementia. She is kind, compassionate and patient. Her presence allows my husband and I time for each other plus time to do things we need to without needing to worry about my aunt. Thank you!

This business/charitable Home Care service is outstanding. They can take a senior who loves their independence and provide that individual with fully funded care, including transportation and home care. I've seen senior homes that are for low-income earners, which encompasses many seniors due to the poverty trap they are forced to enter. Those senior residences can be immensely overcrowded with distressful noise levels and a gross lack of care. I couldn't believe the state I saw in one of these in Calgary.
