Best of a bad lot of local hospitals. Wife's 10 day stay yielded small progress. The staff that attends are very good. The paper pushers are just like any other dysfunctional bearicracy. Dont be fooled by the not for profit advertising. Your still a number on a screen. Your another billable hour. Money is still more important then care. Most of the upper level nurses like most hospitals have grown jaded. In in 10 days the only doctor I saw was in the ER. I never saw or spoke to a actual MD. Physician assistant thats it. I was misdiagnosed at JMC and they gave me a hernia surgery I didn't need. I contacted their Patient Relations department and they reviewed my care. They were happy with the treatment I received. I asked them to contact me and they refused. I have 3 small scars on my abdomen and they didn't bother to try and find out what the bulge in my abdomen is. Looking for a malpractice attorney.

during my initial stay at Jupiter Medical Center I was very impressed. Unfortunately this was because they put me in the brand new Donahue tower by a stroke of luck. I had to come back the next day and was not nearly as lucky. Aside from the dingy, old hospital room that triggered past trauma, which the nurse lied to my face about not having the right to request a room change, the same nurse left my arm gushing blood when my IV fell out and not only accused me of ripping it out myself, but refused to even clean the blood off... read more

I started at the ER and was moved to the hospital for emergency surgery. I must say, if it weren’t for the pain I was in, I would have felt like I was on a mini vacation. Obviously there isn’t a spa but the level of care given by the staff and the cleanliness maintained made it feel very welcoming. The nurses all worked as a team and it seemed they enjoy what they do, they enjoy each other, and they truly enjoy taking care of you.
