I wish I read all of the reviews before going to Juniper Family Medicine. But unfortunately, I trusted the recommendations of a new colleague when I moved to Grand Junction three years ago. Do not go to Juniper Family Medicine! They tried to bill me for an appointment that was completely covered by my insurance. If you have a service animal DO NOT come here. They do not follow any of the ADA LAWS and when I tried to tell them they were doing something illegal they said it was their policy and are not willing to change. Michelle, the office manager caused me to have a panic attack because of her discrimination tword me and my service dog. I have already reported them to the ADA. This practice has no interest in patients, only their ability to bill medicare/insurance that those patients represent. The staff is under trained and surly. Their records are outdated and they show no interest in updating them. I called there with an emergency and was told I could have an appointment the next week. After I ended up in the hospital for several days, their records miraculously indicated that they had offered an appointment that day.

As a new Medicare patient, I have gone to Juniper twice for the FREE annual wellness visit. Both times they tried to bill me extra for things that they said were not included in the free visit, that I did not authorize. This time I spoke with a manager about being deceptive during the visit by counting some answers on the visit as a separate doctor's visit. The first answer out of her mouth was that I'm free to move to another clinic if I want, but I still owe the extra money billed me. I am reporting this as Medicare Fraud ... read more
