For more than 50 years, visitors have traveled on the stately Jungle Queen Riverboat. Tours sail past estates while an entertaining monologue by the captain points out the homes of the famous and the infamous. On three-hour day tours or four-hour dinner voyages you can sail to an island where you will dine amid tropical foliage. Evening cruises feature a dinner of barbecued ribs and shrimp, with a variety revue and sing-a-long cruising back.

I went with my family. We go every few years, as we are locals. The narrator was funny and informative as he pointed out homes and yachts of the rich and famous. The food was ok. The ribs were not cooked long enough, so it was impossible to cut them and they were too chewy and fatty. But, the chicken and shrimp and sides were good. The staff was friendly and attentive. Other than seeing how the 1% live in ft Lauderdale, it was a pleasant ride.
Went with 5 friends, all of us live between Ft Lauderdale and Miami but have never been on the Jungle Queen. Not sure why we waited so long (living here for 20+ years) but it was definitely worth it!!! Good food and great entertainment; did the dinner and show and had a blast!! Would highly recommend for locals and friends/family visiting from other places!
So we decided to go to the Jungle Queen river boat to celebrate the new year last night 12/31/16 for the evening final boat run for the year. We had mixed feelings given the # of different reviews but we decided to try it and decide for ourselves. My hubby and I went on the dinner cruise and loved it from the time we arrived on through the return. Great staff all night and very prompt and attentive with the elderly and handicapped. The narrator was funny as she pointed out homes and yachts of the rich and famous both on the ride to the island and on our return. The food was fantastic, especially the BBQ ribs. Captain Chris was very entertaining, great tour, wonderful meal and great entertainment.
Had a romantic time I'd advise anyone to try it out. It worth it.
We had a great time , first time for us. Born and raised in Florida and never went on it!! Take and have a date night or just a cruise! Good food as well!! ❤️❤️
