Sat down at a table to enjoy some sushi. As soon as the food came another couple walked in and sat the sushi bar. The chef behind the bar talked to the couple about politics the entire time loud enough to hear the entire conversation. Just very unprofessional. The server was very sweet. The sushi was good. The atmosphere was off putting thanks to the chef.
This place is great! Sat at the sushi bar, Roy was our chef - he’s been working here 30+ years I believe. Hamachi nigiri is my litmus test for sushi and it was excellent, melted like butter and cut correctly. We will definitely be back! I’m gf and it wasn’t hard to eat here, Roy made the pictured volcano roll with real crab (to avoid the gluten) and it was delicious.
