I was admitted to West Florida Hospital for perforated diverticulitis. I saw Dr. Cruz on the first day of my ten day admission for less than 5 minutes. I saw him again, for less than 5 minutes on the day he discharged me. My blood pressure the night before was 226/100 and on the morning he sent me home it was 200/100. If I could give him 0, I would. I found him to be arrogant and impatient. My mom was admitted because of extremely high blood pressure and as soon as her BP hit a good number, he discharged her. She had to go back to the hospital 3 days later, but we chose Baptist Hospital this time. Turns out my mom had had a stroke and should have stayed in the hospital until a cause of her high BP was found and correct medication found to regulate it for more than a moment in time.
