Dr. Ayala helped us have 2 babies after years of infertility. She listens to every concern and no appointment has ever felt rushed. When visiting for my second pregnancy, she comes in the room and mentions my firstborn by name. She does have a great sense of humor and has never felt like a “stuffy” doctor. I always feel like I’m in great hands and we are truly so thankful for her!
Black women are disproportionately mishandled in the medical community so please consider that before you choose this Dr for your care. Dr Ayala did my hysterectomy and abandoned me right after. She never took my post surgical pain seriously. I showed up for my 10:00 post op appointment 45 minutes early and still never got called back to be seen. Dr Ayala is a lot of great things but her compassion warms the coldest of rooms. I've been in and out of the emergency rooms, at both UT and Christus, with the doctors at both totally taking me for a drug seeker and not a woman with 2 very large (8cm and 5cm) cysts on my right ovary and 2 large fibroids in my uterus knocking around like a newton's cradle all day.
