First of all; the comment below from Paul Karsten is laughable since he is her husband (seems unprofessional to me). And I feel it is pretty bad when you have to get your spouse to write something positive about you. Dr. DeJonge is fair with her time. I agree with the other respondent who said she tends to talk "over" you, as if she is more intelligent than you. However I feel she does listen. I have nothing but respect for Dr De I have nothing but respect for Dr De Jonge after several months in therapy dealing with a very difficult issue. I have found her to be kind and also willing to say it like it is at times. Too many psychologists do not care about their patients enough to say the hard things that need to be said. She listens very closely and obviously cares about what you have to say as a patient.
Best therapist I am shocked by what some people have written about Dr. deJonge. I have been in therapy with her for several years. She has always been compassionate, understanding, and is an absolute professional. I would take my children to her, or send my best friend to her. For a therapist to tell you he/she has heard other complaints about Julia is very unprofessional. justafriend WOW! There are alot of raw feelings in this site. I myself am not personally a client of Julia's but a contact that she knows well. It's wonderful to see people expressing their feelings; even negative ones. No one of us is perfect in God's eyes; therefore I hope you are filling these forms out from your heart and that it is constructive. Has a lot of Education Somewhat snooty; yet seems intelligent. No help for me from this practice and would/would not recommend. Might do well if you are wealthy and in the right "circles".
My boys didn't benefit I'm glad my boys are not in therapy anymore with Dr. DeJonge. They reacted to her unlike they had to other therapists after their Daddy died. I wish their origional therapist could have stayed but she got married and moved. In the eyes of a child......I can't recommend this Dr.

An excellent clinician! Julia is an excellent clinician; compassionate, knowledgeable, and extremely perceptive. I don't know who the other reviewers are talking about, but that is not the same person I know and trust. I would recommend Julia De Jonge highly, and in fact have done so many times to people about whom I care very deeply.
Please AVOID JULIA DEJONGE she definatly thinks she is better than her clients and lets you know that. Do Not take children to see her; that would be a bad choice on your part. As for adults (such as myself) she thinks in only black and white. It's her way; or the highway. Does not give you attention you deserve during sessions and can't follow the conversation.
