We contacted Julia, a former neighbor, to show us a specific home in which we were interested. Ultimately we employed her to purchase that home and sell our existing one. We trusted her to look out for our best interests. Several things happened along the way that ultimately led us to believe our best interests were not her primary concern. During walkthroughs, she was very knowledgeable and honest about each home and its characteristics, offering potential upsides and possible downsides. Julia provided a house summary sheet for each home we toured, which I wrote notes on. She walked me through each step during the purchase, and I never felt lost.
