The agency is fine. The claims department "sucks". I hit a massive pothole that I did not see nor did my passenger brother. When we hit the pothole, we both said that we hope no major damage was caused. Several weeks later the car began to idle excessively. I took it to the dealership to learn that the pothole caused major damage. I had the car repaired ($8,125.30). Allstate paid $2,513.35. Better home and auto coverage than what I had for a cheaper price, but most importantly excellent customer service. Beverly helped me and was fantastic -- she waited on hold with my home insurance three times: once with no answer, once where when she connected me I actually was too busy and had to hang up, and a third time to complete my cancellation -- all with unending patience. I hope I never need to talk to them again, but the experience has me confident that any claim that I need to file will be as painless as possible.
