Dr. Fusselman treated me for colon cancer and referred me to surgeon, Luke Brunner for a resect. Dr. Brunner was far more professional, skilled, empathetic and knowledgeable. I found Fusselman to be flippant, vague, dismissive and completely unempathetic. I then developed lung cancer. He told me I didn't have it. My husband has had back issues since getting hurt in Vietnam. He is active and does everything to support his back and keep it from getting worse. We went to visit Dr Barber to reevaluate because he was having some different symptoms and it had been a number of years since visiting an orthopedic and having an X-ray. My recent experiences have been quite frustrating and completely disappointing. Firstly, the overall approach to medical assistance at PCI feels more like an assembly line with appointments and billing conducted by the minute. Despite my less-than-ideal insurance coverage, the fees charged by PCI are excessive and, in some cases, downright ludicrous. I'm giving one star because I'm kind. I have no idea what is going on at PCI. The providers are quitting, the care is deteriorating, and PCI continues to hire unqualified people. I have started all my care with the University of Iowa and their professionalism far exceeds what I experienced at your company. I call it a company because it is NOT a medical facility.
While getting an MRI, the Technician removed a medical device ( continuous glucose meter transmitter) from my body. Instead of putting it in a container they normally have for dentures, she just threw it away. This medical device is expensive - and is only replaced every 3 months. And when I called her attention to it - it was like she couldn't be bothered. Not even an I'm sorry I didn't know. -- these devices are pretty common and while I fault the company for not training their Techs, I fault the Tech for her attitude. Th... read more
Don’t bother.
A short time ago Dr. Chimenti preformed carpal tunnel surgery on my other hand. Again, I am so happy with my results! I sure do wish that I had done these surgeries sooner. I highly recommend Dr Chimenti!!
