About this business

Judge Beans BBQ is a true Texas barbecue joint, no doubt about it. They serve an amazing brisket barbecue specifically designed to win over all of the pork- and beef-loving Nashville natives, and they're doing a pretty good job. The atmosphere is sparse and rustic with long wooden picnic tables for family-style seating. The menu is amusing and informative, both about the food and the owner. Read it closely for a good giggle before your food arrives. Be warned: Judge's makes it hot and spicy, but if you're looking for a true ... read more

Saw this place posted online and thought it looked great! The ribs where underwhelming. I prefer ribs with the sauce cooked on and sticky good. Not just pored on cold and wet. Also the meat was tough and didn’t fall off bone and also didn’t taste fresh reminded me a canned meat. French fries where greasy. I won’t be back - sadly.

Good brisket but the cole slaw had a very strong pepper taste. I wouldn’t recommend the cole slaw but brisket was excellent

The food and the service were excellent. The night I was there, it was too warm inside. If I had to guess, I’d say it was in the 77-78 degree range. That would prevent me from going back if that’s the way it always is.

First, The service was great... The ribs, pulled pork and brisket were actually very tender and would have been great except the meat itself was not seasoned. They rely solely on the sauce for seasoning. Really good BBQ doesn't need sauce to be good. The beans, slaw, smoked sausage, etc. were all the same. No flavor!!! I didnt hate it but It definitely wouldn't be my first choice for BBQ wouldn't.

We found this place during our layover on the way to Florida and it was amazing. The food was delicious and our waiter Jake was great. Would highly recommend if you get the chance.
