This appraiser recently did an appraisal for my construction loan application and seriously lowballed my appraisal. He drives by your property, takes a few pictures from his vehicle and bases your appraisal on the homes square footage. He appraised my proposed home and lot at $10,000 more than the build cost, which is to say the lot is only worth $10,000.
