We were drawn to Juani’s by rumors of great home-made tamales, and weren’t disappointed. But we will return to enjoy not just the taste of classic Mexican eatery food, but great conversation with the mother-daughter team who own, cook, decorate and manage the place like it was a kitchen in their home and the diners are friends and relatives.

This is our 2nd attempt to eat here. The first time, the place was shut down due to a red health inspection tag, and now, the tag is green, Google says it's supposed to be open, the hours on the door say it's supposed to be open, but it's not open and there is no sign or anything indicating why! I wanted so badly to support this small business given their truly touching story, but I've been exceptionally disappointed in my experience, or lack there of. I don't know, maybe don't waste your time driving here, call first?
