My son, who was 19 at the time, was diagnosed with Fibrolamellar Carcinoma. A form of liver cancer so rare most oncologists go theirs entire career never encountering a single case. As a 24 year old with cancer this was a very scary word to hear. From the moment I stepped in the office I realized how amazing Dr.Mira and his nurse Meghan are. They made me feel comfortable explained everything and cheered me on through the process. I am happy to say I am cancer free thanks to Dr.Mira and I am beyond grateful. From my 1st appointment through surgery through Dr Mira subsequently declaring me cancer free, I can’t say enough about him. He’s hands down the BEST. Takes time to answer all of your questions. Dr. Mira is a very great surgeon. When my Mom went to her first appointment with him, he answered all of her questions about the procedure he was going to perform. He drew pictures to further my Mom's understanding. He met with my family, and I after her 4.5 hour surgery. He spent time with us explaining what he had done. I would recommend him, he is very knowledgeable and caring.
